Some lucky Sea Cadets from TS Achilles and TS Bellona went on a day sailing voyage on an NZ Navy Chico Sailing Yacht. It was a fantastic day and Cadets even got the opportunity to take the helm!

Training Ship Achilles competed at the Northern Area Sea Cadet Regatta at Whangaparaoa alongside other Sea Cadet Units from around the upper North Island. 
Sailing practise at Training Ship Achilles on a blue sky Saturday morning... Senior Sea Cadets from the Auckland area took part in a Powerboat Training weekend recently. This course teaches Senior Cadets how to drive Powerboats safely so they can support younger Cadets while out Sailing. Sea Cadets who have recently joined TS Achilles have attended a Basic Cadet Training Camp hosted by TS Gambia. The weekend was filled with practical lessons and demonstrations, with plenty of fun and laughter along the way. Here are some photos from the weekend Camp.
Sea Cadets from Training Ship Achilles recently sailed to Kawau Island on the historic William C Daldy Tug Boat. Cadets assisted with Steward duties, tying off lines, stoking coal and working in the Engine Room. A big thank you to the William C Daldy Preservation Society for welcoming us aboard! Although we will all be competing against each other, it will be great to catch up with friends from other Units who we might not have seen for a while too! Here are some photos from our Pulling Practise this week... This amazing week long event celebrated 150 years of Cadet Forces. Over 1000 Cadets and Cadet Force Officers and Staff from Sea Cadet, Air Cadet and Army Cadet Corps attended a week long camp in Waiouru. Cadets travelled from all over New Zealand and Cadets from Australia and Canada also attended. Check out some photos of the cool activities that Cadets got to participate in at Cadet 150 below...
